This home has 2 emergency exits on the first level of the home. The first is the front doorway and the second is through the garage door. Both of these doorways are barrier free in nature. Neither has more than ½” beveled or ¼” squared maximum thresholds. There are no “bumps” or obstacles to impede the person with or without an assistive device. The client in this home utilized a roller walker and at times a manual wheelchair. After living in the home for 3 to 4 months she indicated that these entry/exit points work very well for her.
